New Jeep Cherokee is Priced $400 Under Liberty

You've probably heard quite a bit about the upcoming new Jeep Cherokee- whether from our Bob Pforte Motors blog or otherwise, but now we have even more (good) news about the vehicle: Chrysler will be pricing it quite aggressively- starting at only $22,995 plus a $995 destination fee. That's $400 less than the starting price of the vehicle it will be replacing: the two-row compact crossover Jeep Liberty.

Mike Manley, CEO of the Jeep brand, explains the appeal of the new model, stating, "The all-new 2014 Jeep Cherokee is entering the largest SUV segment in North America with an unmatched combination of capability, fuel efficiency, technology, safety and value. "Jeep Cherokee is absolutely packed with content that includes numerous industry and segment 'firsts.'"1

One of these "firsts" is a nine-speed automatic transmission, which will offer excellent fuel economy. It also has three advanced four-wheel drive systems and is "trail rated," meaning some models will have the off-road capabilities drivers crave from standard Jeep models. The new Cherokee will also offer a new 3.2-liter variation of Chrysler's Pentastar V-6 engine, as well as a new Fiat-designed 2.4-liter Tigershark MultiAir2 four-cylinder engine that will increase fuel economy ratings by 45 percent when compared to the Liberty.

The new Cherokee will be hitting Bob Pforte Motors, located near Tallahassee, FL sometime this fall, so be sure to stay tuned for updates about its arrival! In the meantime, don't hesitate to check out our current selection of new and used vehicles.
